As the head of training at Brizes Kennel, Deidre brings over 24 years of experience working with dogs. Training is more than a career. It’s what she loves. Training has always been more than a career for her—it is a lifelong passion.
Deidre began working at Brizes Kennel as a part-time summer employee during college. During that time, she discovered a natural ability to understand canine behavior and communicate clearly with dogs.
In 2009, she graduated from the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, one of the most respected professional dog training programs in the country. In 2012, she was selected to participate in the inaugural Cesar’s Way Foundation Training Course in California, where she trained directly with Cesar Millan.
Her training philosophy focuses on balanced methods, combining clear leadership, positive reinforcement, and fair corrections to produce dependable, respectful dogs. Just as importantly, Deidre works closely with owners to ensure they feel confident maintaining their dog’s training once they return home.
At Brizes Kennel, dogs receive individualized training designed around their unique temperament and learning style.

Brizes Kennel offers a Board & Train program where dogs stay with us and participate in multiple structured training sessions each day.
All ages and breeds are welcome. Training typically begins at 5 months of age, when dogs are mature enough to benefit from structured training. Older dogs are also accepted, and while there is no strict age limit, participation may depend on the individual dog and the specific behavioral issues involved.

Because every dog learns differently, the program is customized based on the dog’s personality, behavior, and progress throughout training.
Training does not end when your dog leaves our program. When you pick up your dog, you will receive a complimentary private lesson where we demonstrate how to properly reinforce the training at home. Owners learn the same techniques used during training so they can maintain consistency and continue building on their dog’s progress.
Ongoing support is also available if questions arise, helping ensure long-term success for both you and your dog.
