Good manners start here! “No, no, bad dog!”. Are you beginning to think that’s your dog’s other name? We offer a balanced dog training method, where dogs learn to respect you, not food. Using physical and vocal reinforcement, you can curb the worst habits.
As the head of training at Brizes Kennel, Deidre brings over 24 years of experience working with dogs. Training is more than a career. It’s what she loves. From an early age, she recognized a natural ability to understand animal behavior and communicate clearly with dogs.
She started at Brizes as a part-time summer employee during college and never looked back. In 2009, she graduated from the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers. In 2012, she was part of the inaugural Cesar’s Way Foundation Training Course in California, training directly with Cesar Millan.
Deidre’s approach focuses on balanced training, combining clear communication, positive reinforcement, and fair corrections for results that last. Her goal isn’t just to train dogs. It’s to give owners the tools and confidence to maintain that success long after training is complete.
All breeds of dogs ranging from ages as young as 4 months to mature 7 year-olds benefit from this method of training. No treats or toys are used – only physical and verbal praises – to teach your dog to respect you and not food.
There are no group classes and your dog receives individualized attention and training depending on his or her personality.
Board & Train Classes offered at Brizes Kennel are:
Your dog receives multiple sessions per day. Upon pick-up, you’re given a FREE private lesson to show you how to reinforce the training at home. If needed, you receive unlimited support in order to ensure success.
